Dr. Vijay Mallya, (Chairman and
CEO, UBICS, Inc.)

Dr. Vijay Mallya, Ph.D., has been chairman of UBICS- an affiliate of the UB Group - since its inception in July 1993. Headquartered in India, the UB Group is a multinational organization of more than 60 companies. It focuses principally on the business areas of beverage alcohol, engineering, agriculture, chemicals, life sciences, and information technology. Dr. Mallya has been highly instrumental in the growth of the UB Group, which resulted in India's first multinational business conglomerate.

As a former member of India's parliament, Dr. Mallya holds 12 chairmanships. He is a committee member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). Other memberships include The Institute of Economic Studies, India, and the World Economic Forum. Dr. Mallya was conferred a Doctorate of Philosophy in Business Administration by Southern California University, Irvine

Sunil Patil, (Director - UBICS, Inc. since 2004)

Mr. Sunil Patil serves as one of the board members of UBICS, Inc. the IT services & products company. The company is part of the flagship USD 5 Billion UB Group and has business operations in US, UK, & India. UBICS’ forte include IT Services, IT Solutions and IT Products.

Mr. Patil has served as CEO of Ventive, LLC and President of Integral Strategies, Inc., two successful IT companies he co-founded in 2000 and 1996 respectively. In 1995, Mr. Patil founded Expert Resources, Inc., an IT consulting company, which he led to dynamic growth and attracted leading corporations and government agencies as customers. Mr. Patil worked as an IT strategist at one of the largest financial investments firm from 1990 to 1994 and as an IT engineer with a leading automobile manufacturer from 1987 to 1990.
For his outstanding professional achievement in the technology area, Mr. Patil has also received the prestigious ‘Entrepreneur of the Year award’ in USA.

Scott R. Heldfond , (Director of UBICS, Inc. since 1998)

Director of UBICS, inc. since 1998, Mr. Heldfond currently is also Director of the NASDAQ insurance agency. The NASDAQ agency is an owned subsidiary of the NASDAQ stock market.
Mr. Heldfond is also a managing partner of eSeed Capital, LLC, a merchant banking firm established in the year 2000. Prior to these activities, Mr. Heldfond was President and Chief Executive Officer of Frank Crystal & Co. of California, Inc., an insurance brokerage company. Prior to joining Frank Crystal & Co., from 1994 to February 1997, he was Chairman of Hales Capital LLC, an investment banking firm, and President of AON Real Estate and Investments. Mr. Heldfond is currently a member of the board of directors of Re-Energy, Inc., Homegain, Inc. and UFO Communications.

Manohar B. Hira , (Director of UBICS, Inc. since 1993) |
Mr. Manohar B. Hira held the position of President of UBICS, Inc. from 1993 to 2000. Mr. Hira also served in a variety of senior management capacities for companies in the UB Group from 1981 to 1995. These included Chief Operating Officer for U.S. IT operations, Export manager, General manager of Human Resources and Vice President of Administration.

Kent D. Price , (Director of UBICS, Inc. since 1998)

Mr. Kent D. Price has been President of Allegro Capital, a venture capital firm which invests in high technology companies.
Since 1999, Mr. Price has been Chairman of Fluid, Inc., which provides e-business development services and solutions.
Since August 1998, Mr. Price has been president and a director of Robert Kent & Company, a financial advisory firm. Prior thereto, from January 1994 to July 1994 he was chairman of San Francisco Company and Bank of San Francisco and from August 1994 to July 1998 was General manager of Securities and Capital Markets for International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). He is currently a member of the board of directors of Mendocino Brewing Company, Inc., Aftermind, Fluid, Varticom and Capco.

Mr. T.V. Lakshmi Kanthan, B.Com. A.C.A., M.E.P.
A professional accountant and a financial consultant, Mr. T.V. Lakshmi Kanthan has been associated with United Breweries for about 23 years in various capacities and is currently serving as finance director- Chairman Secretariat- U.K.
Prior to joining the UB Group, Mr. Lakshmi Kanthan was employed in heavy and medium engineering industry and has had varied experiences in different companies.
