Will recruit channel partners to carry its media streaming services and
solutions
UBICS Inc, the Pittsburgh, US, based IT Services Division of the $2 Billion UB
Group, has entered the Middle East market in a bid to expand its operations in
India and the Middle East region. The company boasts of providing cutting edge
solutions and services to organisations in diversified vertical segments across
14 countries in the region through its reseller partners.
"UBICS is a provider of interactive streaming media solutions and services that
delivers interactivity anytime, anywhere," said Sunil Patil, the President of
Global Solutions at UBICS. "We offer solutions for interactive video-on-demand,
broadcasts, video conferencing and interactive webcasts. Our SeeItFirst
solution, which is an interactive video streaming platform, allows content
owners to create interactive streaming media by synchronising video and web
assets, and serving quality images to engage their audience, at any bandwidth,
on any device."
In a bid to appoint channel partners for its products and solutions, UBICS has
initiated its Partner Program for the Middle East. As part of this initiative,
the company will also invest in setting up a technical and reseller support
centre in Dubai. "In the short term, we are penetrating the market," explained
Patil. "We are trying to build our customer base, announcing our presence to
the market right now, we are still new to the market. " Though the company has
not freezed at any number of channel partners to be recruited, it is looking
for exclusive partners who can cater to the specialised segments its products
fit in.
UBICS offers a variety of products and solutions, and is currently highlighting
its SeeltFirst interactive video streaming solution for the regional market.
This video conferencing application according to the company delivers valuable
and entertaining content for the user and exponentially increases revenue
opportunities and cost savings for content owners. The application provides the
capability for live streaming or video on demand for training, and
videoconference archiving, while optimising bandwidth on existing networks. The
solution also automates the complex tasks associated with using streaming
media, making it simple for non-technical users to capture and deliver
programs.
"The SeeltFirst solution can be used for delivering live webcasts, to
cost-effectively communicate with employees or customers," added Patil. "It can
also be used to provide real-time access to financial and market information
such as compliance updates or analyst communications." According to the
company, high-profile ventures such as the Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media
City, Dubai Studio City and Dubai Media Production Zone, will accelerate the
electronic media and communication growth in the region.
"Our Partner Program provides everything you need to get started quickly and
ensures a winning partnership," explained Patil. "By joining the UBICS Partner
Program, you work hand-in-hand with our channel managers who are available to
assist you at every stage, to enhance your communication offerings and generate
significant return on your investment." According to the company, its channel
community will primarily consist of Value Added Resellers (VAR) and content
delivery vendors, who provide IT solutions to customers in the 5MB and
enterprise business. The company wants to partner with resellers who
demonstrate strong commitment towards customer care, and capitalise on UBICS's
technology solutions by translating them into profitable business propositions
for their clients in the Middle East.
The company wants to partner with companies that currently resell products and
services such as audio, video and web-based conferencing, advanced and
internet-based communications services, voice and data services, and other
telecommunications products. "UBICS' certified sales and technical team will
also assist the channel by ensuring efficient pre-sales consultancy and
post-sales support system," added Patil. "We work together with our reseller
partners and ensure they succeed in meeting the challenges of client
requirements by providing end- to-end support services including product
training, joint sales/marketing activity, pre-sales consultancy, project
implementation, technical support and maintenance, technical workshops, and so
on.,
The company claims that it has many successful installations in India and the
USA, and wants to do the same in the Middle East region. The company further
adds that its solutions are unique, and since they are entirely browser-based,
publishing and modifying the streaming video interactivity can take place
anytime, anywhere. In the coming months, the company plans to conduct seminars,
workshops and events for resellers and end-customers, to showcase its new
technological developments in video streaming.
